DIY Fabric Flower Hair Clips

Today was a beautiful day and I felt the need to be all crafty. I headed out to the nearest Hobby Lobby, which is actually farther then I would like it to be, oh well. Keeps me from spending a lot of time and money there. Once I got home I got all organized on the floor with all my crafty goodies.

My sweet dog, Sadie, wanted to help out :)

Thanks to Pinterest, again, I found this one "pin" of a cute lace flower. This was my inspiration for my first flower.

If you would like the instructions check out this website. :)

Here are my two flowers that I made from the tutorial. The first one came out a little big but I'm still learning. I also should have gotten a different kind of lace ribbon. The one I used was a bit thin now looking back. I still think mine came out cute anyway :)

My next flower I kind of made it on the whim. I didn't use any particular tutorial. Here is what I did:

1. Draw out 5 circles on any color felt. My circles were a little over 3 inches.
2. Cut them out {duh!}
3. Cut freehand the edges to make them squiggly. Make sure each circle is smaller than the next.
4. Hot glue the pieces
5. Hot glue you're embellishment in the center. I went with a button.
6. Hot glue a clip to the back of the flower
7. Viola!

I also made some cute yet really easy clips just by hot glueing the bigger embellishments to the hair clip. The only glueing I did, besides the clip itself, was glueing a small piece of felt to the back first.

Now my bow board is starting to fill up :). Happy crafting y'all!
